Armenian NPP connected to national power grid after scheduled maintenance
YEREVAN. July 14 (Interfax) - The Armenian Nuclear Power Plant has been connected to the national power grid after scheduled maintenance, the plant press service said on Monday.
"The third turbo-generator of the 2nd reactor unit of the Armenian NPP was connected to the Armenian power grid a day ahead of schedule, at 3:58 a.m. on July 13, upon the completion of the 2025 scheduled maintenance," the press service said.
The plant is operating normally, in compliance with all safety and reliability standards.
The Armenian NPP is a major source of electricity in the country. Just one unit with the first-generation VVER-440 reactor is operational. TVEL provides the plant with fuel.
