Kazakhstan to consult with OPEC regarding adherence to oil production commitments
VIENNA. July 10 (Interfax) - Kazakhstan will consult with OPEC leadership and its partners under the agreement on the fulfilment of its oil production commitments, the press service of the Kazakh Energy Ministry said following the 9th OPEC International Seminar.
Energy Minister Yerlan Akkenzhenov led the Kazakh delegation at the seminar, which was held on July 9-10 in Vienna.
"At the high-level ministerial sessions and roundtable meetings, participants discussed energy security, economic growth, short- and long-term prospects for global energy markets, the prospects for increasing investment in the sector, and priorities for developing countries. Against this backdrop, Kazakhstan's delegation will prioritize consultations with OPEC leadership and its OPEC partners regarding the fulfilment of its commitments," the ministry said in the statement.
The statement said that the important event had brought together 22 energy ministers from OPEC and OPEC+ countries and executives from major global energy firms such as Aramco, Shell (SPB: RDS.A), TotalEnergies , BP and Kuwait Petroleum Corporation in the Austrian capital.
The seminar was aimed at fostering dialogue and strengthening cooperation between oil producers, consumers, and investors.
