MINSK. July 10 (Interfax) - Belarusian Railway (BR) and China Railway (CR) have agreed to jointly develop international freight logistics.

BR head Valery Verenich held talks with CR chairman Guo Zhuxue in Beijing on Tuesday, the Belarusian state company reported in a press release.

"The parties discussed issues concerning the development of bilateral relations and cooperation in the forum of international organizations, agreed to implement joint projects and also noted the high level of mutually beneficial cooperation aimed at increasing container shipments on the China-Europe-China route and export-import shipments on the China-Belarus-China route," the release said.

The railway heads signed a memorandum of understanding after the meeting, the company said.

"The memorandum reflects the parties' desire to reach a new level of partner relations, jointly build railway logistics along international transport corridors, deepen and develop practical cooperation and dynamically develop container shipments on the China-Europe and China-Belarus routes," BR said.
