Kyrgyzstan to receive over $100 mln in budget support from World Bank
BISHKEK. July 9 (Interfax) - The World Bank will allocate $101.5 million to Kyrgyzstan as budget support, the Kyrgyz Finance Ministry said on Wednesday.
"Kyrgyzstan and the World Bank have signed an agreement to provide $101.5 million in budget support under the First Development Policy Financing for Sustainable and Inclusive Growth project," it said.
The document was signed by Kyrgyz Finance Minister Almaz Baketayev and the World Bank's Regional Director for Central Asia Hugh Riddell.
The funding is expected to help strengthen the country's fiscal resilience and support efforts to digitalize the economy.
