Russian company to invest 0.5 bln rubles in auto components production in Rostov-on-Don
YEKATERINBURG. July 7 (Interfax) - Testing and Expertise Center LLC plans to invest approximately 0.5 billion rubles in the construction of an auto components plant, the deputy governor of the Rostov region Igor Sorokin told Interfax.
"The investment project will establish production of import-substituting exhaust systems for various types of transport with a total capacity of over 40,000 units per year. The production area will cover about 5,000 square meters and will include robotic assembly lines," Sorokin said.
The project implementation agreement was signed during the Innoprom-2025 international exhibition in Yekaterinburg. Investments will amount to around 500 million rubles, with plans to create over 100 jobs.
Company CEO Alexei Berezovsky first announced plans to establish auto components production (mufflers, resonators, manifold flame arresters and others) in March 2023. At that time, investment was estimated at 150 million rubles.
According to Berezovsky, the first phase involved constructing 1,800 square meters of production space. The second phase included setting up a quality control testing laboratory. The third phase involved establishing a facility for technical inspections of automotive gas cylinders and a conversion center for gas-fueled vehicles. Approximately 30 jobs were planned initially, with over 100 after reaching full capacity.
The company has received certification for serially produced components, Berezovsky said.
Testing and Expertise Center LLC was registered in 2015 in Rostov-on-Don. According to the Unified State Register of Legal Entities, the beneficiary is company CEO Alexei Berezovsky. In 2024, the company's net profit grew 8.5-fold to 13 million rubles, while revenue increased 2.6-fold to 31.3 million rubles.
