Russia, Ukraine carry out another prisoner swap - Russian Defense Ministry
MOSCOW. July 4 (Interfax) - Russia and Ukraine accomplished another prisoner swap on Friday in furtherance of the agreements reached in Istanbul, the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement.
"Another group of Russian troops returned from the territory controlled by the Kiev regime on July 4 consistent with the Russian-Ukrainian agreements reached in Istanbul on June 2. They were exchanged for a group of servicemen of the Ukrainian Armed Forces," the statement said.
The Russian troops are staying in Belarus and receiving psychological and medical help, it said.
"All the Russian servicemen will be transported to the Russian Federation for treatment and rehabilitation at healthcare establishments of the Russian Defense Ministry," it said.
