Russian security interests must be fully taken into account while settling Ukraine crisis - Lavrov
MOSCOW. July 4 (Interfax) - Russia will not be satisfied with the Ukraine crisis settlement unless its security interests are fully taken into account, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said.
"We cannot be satisfied with the outcome unless Russia's lawful security interests are fully taken into account and any violations of the rights of Russian and Russian-speaking residents are eliminated and the prevention of their recurrence is guaranteed," Lavrov said at a press conference in Moscow.
"The political and diplomatic settlement is impossible without eliminating the root causes of the conflict, as President Putin said yet again in his phone call with President Trump yesterday," Lavrov said.
