Russian, Ukrainian negotiators waiting for each other's propositions on next round date - Peskov
MOSCOW. July 3 (Interfax) - There are no impediments to scheduling the next round of Russia-Ukraine negotiations, and the sides are waiting for each other's propositions on its date, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.
"There is no blocking, it is just necessary to finalize the coordination procedures. Each side is awaiting proposals on the dates," Peskov told the press on Thursday.
The first and second rounds of Russia-Ukraine talks were held in Istanbul on May 16 and June 2.
The Kremlin is closely watching the situation around the suspension by the United States of shipments of some weapons to Ukraine, Peskov said, adding that the fewer missiles Kiev receives, the nearer the completion of the special military operation is.
"We are watching this situation [...] Apparently, the industry can't make missiles in necessary quantities fast enough, especially as there were obviously many shipments to Israel as well, and deliveries to Ukraine are continuing. Therefore, there are certain problems in this respect. We are watching it closely," Peskov said when commenting on the halt of some U.S. weapon shipments to Ukraine.
"The fewer missile Ukraine gets from abroad, the nearer the end of the special military operation is," he said.
