The fewer weapons are supplied to Ukraine, the sooner special military operation ends - Peskov

MOSCOW. July 2 (Interfax) - Suspended delivery of weapons to Ukraine brings the end of the special military operation closer, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said, commenting on the U.S. decision to suspend the delivery of certain types of missiles and rockets to Ukraine.

"As far as we understand, the reason for this decision is empty depots, a shortage of weapons in storage," Peskov told journalists in response to a related question.

"Anyway, the fewer weapons are supplied to Ukraine, the sooner the special military operation ends," he said.

NBC said earlier, citing its sources, that the United States had suspended the delivery of certain types of weapons to Ukraine, including Patriot interceptor missiles, and Hellfire, Stinger and AIM missiles.
