Russia increases natural gas reserves to 67 trln cubic meters - Rosgeolfond

VLADIVOSTOK. July 2 (Interfax) - Russia's natural gas reserves stood at 67.092 trillion cubic meters as of June 30, oil reserves totaled 31.478 billion tonnes and condensate reserves amounted to 3.687 billion tonnes, Russian Federal Geological Fund (Rosgeolfond) materials presented at the Eastern Oil and Gas Forum in Vladivostok on Wednesday stated.

It was reported earlier that, according to Federal Mineral Resources Agency (Rosnedra) preliminary data, Russia's gas reserves stood at 63.5 trillion cubic meters and oil reserves totalled 31.4 billion tonnes at the end of 2024. Gas reserves have thus increased by 5.7% or 3.6 trillion cubic meters.

Reserves in the Far East Federal District totalled 3.185 trillion cubic meters of gas, 720 million tonnes of oil and 75 million tonnes of condensate as of June 30.

The number of active licenses for hydrocarbon resources increased to 4,073 from 4,052 at the end of 2024, including 1,986 licenses for hydrocarbon exploration and production (NE), 1,452 for combined types of work (NR), 617 for geological surveys, including hydrocarbon prospecting and deposit assessment (NP), and 18 for developing technology for geological surveys, exploration and production of hard-to-recover reserves (NT).
