Kyrgyzstan's authorities temporarily ban exporting waste paper beyond EAEU
BISHKEK. June 27 (Interfax) - Kyrgyzstan has imposed a temporary ban on the export of waste paper outside the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), the press service of Kyrgyzstan's government said on Friday.
"A temporary ban has been imposed for six months on exporting recycled paper and cardboard, waste paper and waste, outside the customs territory of the EAEU, except for transit, as well as humanitarian aid provided by Kyrgyzstan's government," according to the report.
The measure has been specifically introduced "to prevent a critical shortage in crude on the domestic market, and to incentive production and improving the export of finished products."
