Ukraine's 2025 harvesting campaign lags 74% behind last year, grain yield considerably lower

MOSCOW. June 27 (Interfax) - Farmers in four regions of Ukraine have started harvesting early grains and legumes, collecting 188,000 tonnes of crops from 74,000 hectares, Ukrainian media reported with reference to the Agrarian Policy and Food Ministry.

As reported, Ukrainian farmers harvested 721,400 tonnes of grain from 209,800 hectares in 16 regions as of June 28, 2024.

In addition, seven regions harvested 63,600 tonnes of rapeseed from 31,700 hectares as of this date last year.

Hence, the 2025 harvesting campaign in Ukraine is lagging 74% behind last year, and the yield is considerably lower.
