Wildberries & Russ looking into possibility entering Africa
MOSCOW. June 19 (Interfax) - The Wildberries & Russ united company, namely RVB LLC, is preparing to enter Africa, CEO Robert Mirzoyan told reporters on the sidelines of St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) 2025.
"In general, we are already actively increasing our international capacities and in the last year alone, in one format or another, we have launched work with three new countries as Georgia, Tajikistan and the United Arab Emirates. For us, the main priorities now are to strengthen our positions in the countries where we already operate and to launch in the countries of the Global South. We are actively preparing for the company's entry into the African continent," Mirzoyan said.
RVB LLC was formed from the merger of the Wildberries marketplace and the outdoor advertising operator Russ - with the aim of jointly creating a new digital trading platform and providing seamless tools for the development of small and medium businesses. The combined company operates in Russia, Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, as well as in China and the United Arab Emirates, whence goods are imported from these countries.
Mirzoyan said at the forum that the volume of exports through RVB were over 200 billion rubles by the end of 2024, and 450 billion rubles for 2025.
The company is currently working on implementing logistics facilities in Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Belarus.
