Air Arabia extends suspension of scheduled flights to Russia until June 30, continues evacuation flights
MOSCOW. June 19 (Interfax) - Air Arabia has extended the suspension of scheduled flights to and from Russia until June 30, inclusive, Russia's Federal Air Transport Agency reported.
The airline had previously said it would suspend flights to Russian cities due to the situation in the Middle East until June 20.
However, Air Arabia will continue to carry out evacuation flights, the agency said. The company planned to fly more than 460 passengers to Moscow and Yekaterinburg on three flights Wednesday. On Thursday, it plans to make five evacuation flights to Russia carrying almost 800 passengers.
Flights to and through the United Arab Emirates have been cancelled and delayed due to the escalation of the conflict between Iran and Israel, which has led to some airport closures and restriction of airspace.
