Caspian Pipeline Consortium finishes work to eliminate Rostransnadzor comments on SPM-2, sends corresponding application to RMRS

MOSCOW. June 18 (Interfax) - The Caspian Pipeline Consortium's No. 2 single-point mooring device, which was stopped following an inspection, is ready to be put into operation, and the consortium has submitted the corresponding application to the Russian Maritime Registry of Shipping (RMRS) federal autonomous institution.

"As of today, the class of SPM-1 has been restored and SPM-1 is in operation. It so happened that the underwater hoses of SPM-2 were due for replacement this year, and I informed the shareholders that the work on SPM-2 has been completed in full. We submitted just yesterday an application to the RMRS to restore the class and put it into operation. We are waiting for a response," CPC CEO Nikolai Gorban told reporters on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) 2025.

SPM-3 is still operating in normal mode.
