Wildberries&Russ plans to construct logistics center in Sakhalin
YUZHNO-SAKHALINSK. June 18 (Interfax) - The RVB company, the Wildberries&Russ united company, intends to construct a logistics center in the Sakhalin Region, and the corresponding agreement was signed at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) 2025, the press service of the regional government said on Wednesday.
"The Wildberries&Russ logistics center in Sakhalin will be the company's most remote facility relative to the central part of Russia," the press service said.
Sakhalin Region Governor Valery Limarenko and Wildberries founder and Wildberries&Russ CEO Tatyana Kim signed the agreement.
"Constructing a logistics center in the Sakhalin Region will significantly expand the possibilities for delivering orders not only within the region itself, but also in the Far East as a whole. We are confident that successfully implementing the project will reduce the delivery time of goods and become an important factor in developing small- and medium-sized businesses in the region," the press service quoted Kim as saying.
Limarenko in turn welcomed the intention of the merged company to construct a facility in Sakhalin and "contribute to improving the quality of life on the islands."
The volume of planned investments in the project and the timing of its implementation have not been disclosed.
Wildberries&Russ manages more than 130 logistics facilities with a total area over 3 million square meters. The company plans to commission another 2.5 million square meters of warehouse space by the end of 2025.
