ISS Russian segment to operate until at least 2028 - Roscosmos CEO
ST. PETERSBURG. June 18 (Interfax) - Roscosmos regularly analyzes the state of the Russian segment at the International Space Station (ISS), and it will continue to operate until at least 2028, head of the Russian state space corporation Dmitry Bakanov said.
"The ISS will continue to operate until at least 2028. We will then work with the American partners to reach an agreement as to when we will remove it from orbit, because there are two segments - Russian and American," Bakanov told Interfax on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum 2025.
"We are analyzing it all the time, because there are cosmonauts onboard," he said when asked when Roscosmos will start examining the Russian segment's technical state.
