Kazakhstan to retain OPEC+ membership despite accelerated production growth - Energy Ministry
ASTANA. June 18 (Interfax) - Kazakhstan will not leave OPEC+ despite agreements to boost oil production, Kazakh Energy Minister Erlan Akkenzhenov said.
"Where did it come from that Kazakhstan has been considering leaving OPEC? There is no such issue on the agenda," Akkenzhenov told reporters on Wednesday.
Akkenzhenov recalled that the next meeting of OPEC+ is on July 6, following which the ministry will provide official information on the agreements reached.
