Russian airlines carry over 40 mln passengers since beginning of 2025, level with last year - Transport Ministry
MOSCOW. June 18 (Interfax) - Russian airlines have carried over 40 million passengers since the beginning of 2025, the same as a year previously, Russian Transport Minister Roman Starovoit said.
"We are already reviewing the results of the first half of the year, and our airlines have transported over 40 million passengers, on the same level as last year," Starovoyt said in an interview with Izvestiya.
He said that three quarters of these passengers had travelled on domestic routes.
According to data from the Federal Air Transport Agency, Russian airlines carried 40.4 million people in the first five months of 2024.
