European Commission ready to phase out Russian nuclear fuel, deadlines yet to be set

BRUSSELS. June 17 (Interfax) - The European Commission is ready to work on including nuclear fuel in the plan for phasing out Russian energy but it has not set any specific deadlines, European Commissioner for Energy Dan Jorgensen said on Tuesday.

"Yes, we will indeed also include nuclear fuel [...], I do not have a set timeline here today," Jorgensen said at a press conference in Brussels.

"We are working as fast as we can on making that happen," he said.
