Aeroflot Group could carry about 60 mln passengers in 2025 if southern airports open - CEO

MOSCOW. June 10 (Interfax) - Aeroflot Group could carry about 60 million passengers in 2025 if airports open in southern Russia, CEO Sergei Alexandrovsky said in an interview with the Rossiya-24 television channel.

"You may recall that Aeroflot Group carried 60.3 million passengers in 2019, which was very different from the current situation in terms of market access, fleet and so on. Even in current conditions, we can in principle easily achieve these figures if the southern airports open," he said.

Alexandrovsky said earlier that the group might fly around 55 million passengers in 2025.
