Russian Deputy FM Ryabkov: No specific date yet for third round of Russia-U.S. consultations
SOCHI. June 10 (Interfax) - The third round of bilateral Russia-U.S. consultations to address irritants in relations between the two countries will take place very soon, but no specific date for it has been set yet, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said.
"The third round of bilateral consultations on irritants will be held very soon. Though it is still too early to speak of any particular date, I hope that the round will take place very soon," Ryabkov told journalists in Sochi on Tuesday.
"It involves a whole set of issues, some of them are more difficult, some are easier, though there are no easy issues in relations with the U.S. in principle. But when you compare them, tentatively speaking, the visa issue is easier to solve than the resumption of direct flights. This does not discourage us in any way. On the contrary, difficulties mobilize us, and we will continue to seek a more clear reaction from the Americans to our proposals both in this area and to the proposals included in the roadmap passed to the Americans regarding the prospect of returning the illegally seized diplomatic property in the U.S. to us," he said.
