Russia introduces 5% duty on exports of purebred sheep, lambs for next 3 years - decree
MOSCOW. June 6 (Interfax) - Russia has introduced an export duty on purebred sheep and lambs under one year of age.
According to a government decree signed on June 5, 2025, and published on the official portal of legal information, the list of duty rates has been expanded to include items under HS codes of the Eurasian Economic Union related to purebred sheep and lambs under one year old.
According to a footnote to the decree, the export duty rate for these products will be set at 5% for three years after the document comes into force.
The decree will take effect seven days after its publication.
