Patriarch Kirill stands for developing relations with Catholic Church
MINSK. June 6 (Interfax) - Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and all Russia has called for developing relations between the Russian Orthodox Church and the Roman Catholic Church.
"I support the development of relations, which could serve as a very important factor facilitating reconciliation wherever wars are going on, and an important factor of trust between countries and peoples," the Belarusian state-run news agency BelTA quoted the patriarch as saying in Minsk on Friday.
"The Russian Orthodox Church has built a good relationship with the Roman Catholic Church in recent years. This includes the pontiffs that led the Catholic Church," he said.
