Moldovan PM promises to prepare country for joining EU by 2028
CHISINAU. June 4 (Interfax) - The Moldovan government will make maximum efforts to prepare the country for joining the European Union by 2028, Moldovan Prime Minister Dorin Recean told European Parliament President Roberta Metsola.
"The government will do everything possible to prepare Moldova for joining the European Union by 2028," Recean was quoted by the Moldovan government press service as saying at a meeting with Metsola in Brussels on Wednesday.
The sides discussed EU support in the process of Moldova's European integration, the press service said. Recean said European Parliament members have recently supported a growth plan for Moldova, which will provide access to 1.9 billion euros for reforms and investment.
