Cooperation documents signed during Turkmen president's visit to Mongolia
ASHGABAT. June 3 (Interfax) - A joint presidential statement and 14 documents aimed at further expanding trade, economic, investment, education and healthcare cooperation between Ashgabat and Ulaanbaatar were signed during Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov's state visit to Mongolia, the Turkmenistan State News Agency said on Tuesday.
The signing ceremony was attended by Berdimuhamedov and Mongolian President Ukhnaa Khurelsukh.
The package of documents includes three intergovernmental agreements on the establishment of an economic cooperation commission, on economic cooperation, and on a mid-term program aimed at enhancing the two countries' trade, economic and investment cooperation in 2026-2028.
The Turkmen and Mongolian Foreign Ministries also signed a cooperation program for 2026-2027.
In addition, other ministries and agencies of the two countries signed memoranda on the development of cooperation in the consumer goods industry, education, healthcare, scientific research, museums, television and radio channels, and information.
The city administrations of Ashgabat and Ulaanbaatar also signed a memorandum establishing sister-city relations between the capitals of the two countries.
