Kuzbass authorities propose Gazprom Neft establish lubricant packaging facility in region

NOVOKUZNETSK. June 3 (Interfax) - Kemerovo region Governor Ilya Seredyuk has suggested that Gazprom Neft Lubricants build a lubricant packaging facility in the region.

"Choose a location that is convenient for you - Prokopyevsk, Leninsk-Kuznetsky or Belovo," Seredyuk said during the Russian Coal and Mining exhibition in Novokuznetsk on Tuesday.

He proposed continuing discussions on the project during the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, which is scheduled for June 18-21.

The Kuzbass lubricants market has an annual capacity of around 100,000 tonnes of oils.

Gazprom Neft Lubricants is a subsidiary of Gazprom Neft , specializing in the production and sale of oils, lubricants and technical fluids. The products are manufactured at the company's own production facilities.

In 2025, Gazprom Neft began the industrial production of white oils entirely from domestic components at its Omsk Lubricants Plant. The new complex has an annual capacity of over 220,000 tonnes of base oils.
