Rostec's Azimuth, T1 IT holding plan to begin serial production of new-generation servers by year-end
NIZHNY NOVGOROD. June 2 (Interfax) - Multillect, a joint project between Rostec state corporation and T1 IT holding, plans to begin serial production of new-generation servers by the end of the year, T1 CEO Alexei Fetisov told reporters.
Multillect has presented the pilot line of the equipment at the CIPR-2025 conference in Nizhny Novgorod. Azimuth, which is part of Rostec and is a co-founder of the enterprise, is involved in the project.
"We are aiming at serial production, and we plan to be ready to start it within this year I think. However, an important point is that we would be ready to talk more specifically about the serial production volume and the range closer to the fourth quarter," Fetisov said.
Fetisov said that the servers are undergoing testing that "could somehow affect some configuration nuances."
"Namely, we would like to understand clearly that we have a fully tested configuration [...] We would be able to share the plans then based on the data," he said, adding that work is underway to enter the equipment in the Unified Registry of Russian Radio-Electronic Products of the Industry and Trade Ministry.
Fetisov said that the project is focused on the B2B segment, primarily on state-owned companies and organizations. The products are also intended for industrial enterprises, banks, telecoms, and cloud providers that are about to switch to domestic solutions.
"Our ambitions for now do not extend beyond the double-digit percentage of the tactical horizon," Fetisov said in response to what market share the company intends to occupy
The press service of Rostec said that the main production site would be at the Azimuth plant, which has SMT assembly lines and automated quality control.
"Our work with T1 is aimed at developing and producing computing equipment that should replace foreign models, primarily in industry, banking, and the telecom industry," the press service quoted Azimuth CEO Asker Saidov as saying.
Pilot testing of the equipment will take place at RT-Inform LLC, which is the center of IT and information security expertise at Rostec that develops, implements and advances modern domestic IT products, among other areas.
