Kazakhstan, France boost trade 31% to all-time high of $5.5 bln in 2024
ASTANA. May 28 (Interfax) - Kazakhstan and France boosted trade 31% to an all-time high of $5.5 billion in 2024, the Kazakh government said during the Kazakhstan-France Investment Forum in Astana.
French investments in Kazakhstan are nearing $20 billion, with more than 200 French-affiliated companies operating in the country.
"Cooperation with France is one of the top priorities of Kazakhstan's foreign policy and an integral part of our partnership with the EU. Our countries share a strong and multifaceted partnership, characterized by robust political ties, active intergovernmental and parliamentary dialogue, and dynamic trade and investment relations," Kazakh Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov said at the forum.
Following the forum, several agreements are expected to be signed, covering energy, transportation, healthcare and water resource management.
