T-Technologies, Interros entity now owns member of consortium that bought Yandex in 2024

MOSCOW. May 27 (Interfax) - The Catalytic People company, control of which was recently acquired by T-Technologies , is now the sole owner of a legal entity that was part of the consortium of investors that purchased the Russian assets of Yandex .

Unified State Registry of Legal Entities (USRLE) data indicate that International Limited Liability Company (ILLC) Catalytic People obtained 100% of the shares in Meridian-Service LLC on May 26.

Meridian-Service was part of the pool of investors to acquire Yandex's Russian business. The company received 10% in the Consortium. First closed-end investment fund, which is now the principal shareholder of IPJSC Yandex. Former deputy chairman of Gazprom Alexander Ryazanov initially controlled Meridian-Service, and it was his share that Catalytic People has obtained, according to the USRLE.

Interfax has sent requests to T-Technologies, Interros, and Yandex.

Consortium. First CEIF became the main owner of IPJSC Yandex in May 2024 as part of restructuring that divided the Russian big tech company's business into a Russian entity and an international entity. Yandex N.V., Yandex's former holding structure, received $2.8 billion and 162.5 million of its Class A shares because of the deal.

Yandex data indicate that Consortium. First CEIF owns 64.58% of the capital, or 67.55% of the votes, in IPJSC Yandex as of December 31, 2024. In addition to Meridian-Service, the consortium includes FMP, (owns 35% in the CEIF), which unites Yandex managers; the company of LETA Capital founder Alexander Chachava (25%); a structure of Lukoil (15%), and the company of Infinitum CEO Pavel Prass (15%).

The terms and conditions of the deal included a lock-up on the sale of shares for 12 months after the closing of the first stage of the deal.
