Putin on McDonald's current option to buy back assets in Russia: necessary to recall that it left the market poorly

MOSCOW. May 26 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin during a conversation with Oleg Paroyev, CEO of the Vkusno & Tochka [Tasty and that's it] fast-food chain, which is the successor to McDonald's in Russia, indicated that it is necessary to remember how the company exited the market, given the U.S. company's current option to buy back the business in Russia.

"They put everyone in a difficult situation, ran away. If they want to return now, should we clear the table for them? Of course not," Putin said during a meeting with representatives of Russian business circles.

Paroyev during the conversation invited the president to visit Vkusno & Tochka to demonstrate the operations of the chain.

"I'll stop by sometime," Putin replied.
