Raspadskaya commissions new longwall face at Yesaulskaya mine with 1.5 mln tonnes of coking coal reserves
KEMEROVO. May 26 (Interfax) - PJSC Raspadskaya has commissioned a new longwall face at the Yesaulskaya mine with reserves of 1.5 million tonnes of GZ-grade coking coal, the press service of Raspadskaya Coal Company (RCC, which manages the assets of the PJSC) said.
The longwall face is located at a depth of 450 meters, with a length of 206 meters; 6 kilometers of mine workings were completed to prepare the section.
"Miners at Yesaulskaya plan to extract reserves from the new face over the course of a year," it said.
PJSC Raspadskaya consolidates enterprises within an integrated complex for the extraction of coking coal, including Russia's largest mine Raspadskaya, the Raspadsky open-pit, the Raspadskaya-Koksovaya mine, as well as Mezhegeyugol, and the Alardinskaya, Osinnikovskaya, Uskovskaya, Yerunakovskaya-8 and Esaulskaya mines.
