IAEA rotating experts at ZNPP - Rosatom

MOSCOW. May 21 (Interfax) - Another rotation of experts of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) will take place at the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP) on Wednesday, Rosatom head Alexei Likhachev said.

"A new, 28th mission, is starting today, it is already on its way to the ZNPP. It will travel through the territory of Russia," Likhachev told reporters on Wednesday.

Previously, Likhachev announced that a new rotation of the IAEA mission at the ZNPP was expected in the second half of May. On May 15, the IAEA press service said the agency delayed the rotation due to the difficult and dangerous situation in the combat zone near the NPP.

In March, the IAEA rotated its 27th mission the ZNPP with the experts travelling to the station exclusively through Russia for the first time, protected by Russian servicemen.

The agency's mission has been present at the ZNPP since September 1, 2022.
