Russia exports canned fish to Laos for first time in 2025 - Agroexport

MOSCOW. May 20 (Interfax) - Russia exported over 180 tonnes of canned sardines, sprats and Baltic herring worth nearly $500,000 to Laos this year, the Agroexport federal center said, citing expert estimates.

This marks Russia's first ever shipment of canned fish products to Laos, Agroexport said.

In addition, over 30 tonnes of vodka, 5 tonnes of liqueurs and other alcoholic beverages and more than 13 tonnes of baby food were exported to Laos this year.

In total, Russia shipped over 232 tonnes of agricultural products to Laos in January-April, up 2.3-fold compared to the entire 2024 export volume of around 100 tonnes.
