London adds 20 individuals, 62 entities to anti-Russian sanctions list - Treasury

LONDON. May 20 (Interfax) - The United Kingdom has imposed sanctions on 20 individuals and 62 entities, the Treasury said in a press release.

Eighty-two parties have been added to the sanctions list, the press release said.

In particular, the black lists include 13 companies facilitating operations of the Russian defense sector, among them three companies from China, which includes Electronic Scientific Engineering Ltd, as well as Russian financial companies Surgutinvestneft, VTB Specialized Depository, VTB Registrar, the St. Petersburg Currency Exchange and others. Also black listed are 15 individuals allegedly "spreading Russian disinformation," and persons associated with the Russian energy sector.

Innopolis, the Krasny Oktyabr Steel Plant, MT Systems, and Nifrit Research and Production Enterprise are also under restrictions.

The restrictions apply to 18 ships transporting oil and petroleum products.
