S7 appoints new CEO
MOSCOW. May 20 (Interfax) - Igor Melkhov has replaced Vadim Klebanov as CEO of JSC Siberia Airlines , operating under the S7 brand, according to the Unified State Register of Legal Entities.
The corresponding changes were entered into the register on May 19.
According to publicly available information, Melkhov previously (since late 2019) held the position of deputy flight director at S7. Klebanov headed the company since September 2019.
S7 is one of the largest airlines in Russia and is part of the eponymous group founded by spouses Vladislav and Natalia Filev. According to the Federal Air Transport Agency, as of mid-March, the airline's air operator certificate listed 55 European Airbus A320/321 aircraft (including 25 A320neo), 19 U.S. Boeing 737s, 17 Brazilian Embraers and one Gulfstream G550 business jet.
S7's passenger traffic fell nearly 19% in 2024 to 12.9 million people, while net profit to Russian Accounting Standards (RAS) decreased 33.5% to 14 billion rubles.
