Polish truckers stop blocking Dorohusk checkpoint on border with Ukraine - border guards

MOSCOW. May 14 (Interfax) - Polish truckers have ended their blockade at a crossing point on the border with Ukraine, Ukrainian media said, citing the country's State Border Service, which has received this information from Poland's Border Guard.

"Polish participants in the action, which hindered trucks' movement, ended the blockade at the Dorohusk border crossing. This information has been received from the Border Guard of the Republic of Poland. The protesters ended the action on Tuesday evening, at 10:30 p.m. Kiev time," Ukraine's State Border Service said.

"Clearance of trucks heading in both directions, toward Ukraine and toward Poland, through the Yagodin-Dorohusk checkpoint is now back on track," it said.

As reported, a Lublin appellate court on Tuesday ordered Polish truckers to terminate their protest at the Dorohusk checkpoint on the border with Ukraine. The court ruling is final and cannot be appealed.

Polish carriers' protest in Dorohusk, near the crossing point on the border with Ukraine, began on Monday. The demands put forth by its organizers included reinstating a permit system for Ukrainian trucks entering Poland.
