U.S. Department of Agriculture lowers Kazakhstan's wheat export forecast for 2025-2026 by 20%
ALMATY. May 13 (Interfax) - The U.S. Department of Agriculture has published its first outlooks for grain harvest and export in the new marketing year of July 2025 to June 2026, according to which Kazakhstan will export 8 million tonnes of grain in 2025-2026, down 20% form 10 million tonnes in the previous marketing year.
The USDA said its forecast for Kazakhstan's wheat exports was revised downward to 14.5 million tonnes compared with 18.58 million tonnes in the previous season. Import projections remain flat at 500,000 tonnes.
The grain harvest outlook for the current marketing year is 18 million tonnes, unchanged from the December report.
Grain stocks at the beginning of the 2025-2026 marketing year are estimated at 4.22 million tonnes.
