Russia receives approval to supply semolina, rye flour to China - Rosselkhoznadzor
MOSCOW. May 12 (Interfax) - China has authorized imports of Russian semolina and rye flour to its market.
This is stipulated in protocols on compliance with inspection and quarantine requirements for these products, the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance (Rosselkhoznadzor) said. The protocols were signed between Rosselkhoznadzor and China's General Administration of Customs during ceremonial events marking the 80th anniversary of the Soviet victory in the Great Patriotic War.
"Given the capacity of the Chinese market, opening this export avenue will serve as a significant driver for further development of Russian grain processing product supplies," it said.
Grain market participants must meet several requirements set by the Chinese side, Rosselkhoznadzor said. Key conditions include phytosanitary monitoring of wheat and rye cultivation and storage areas, as well as the registration of producers in China's Single Window system (CIFER).
