Putin: We will be glad to attend SCO summit in China in Sept

MOSCOW. May 12 (Interfax) - Russia will be glad to take part in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit in September, President Vladimir Putin said.

"Russia supports the priorities of China's SCO presidency, and we will be happy to participate in this organization's summit in Tianjin in September of this year," Putin told journalists after the Russian-Chinese talks on Thursday.

Russia and China will continue to closely coordinate their positions in other multilateral formats, such as the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation forum, the G20, the World Trade Organization, the International Monetary Fund, and the World Bank, he said.

"We will make further efforts to interconnect the integration processes within the Eurasian Economic Union and China's Belt and Road Initiative with a view to forming a greater Eurasian partnership in the future," Putin said.
