Orban reiterates opposition to Ukraine's EU membership

MOSCOW. May 6 (Interfax) - Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban has reiterated his opposition to Ukraine's accession to the European Union.

"The accession of Ukraine is not a good deal. Ukraine is not an added value but a liability. It is a huge mistake to send European funds to Ukraine instead of using them to strengthen the struggling European economy," Ukrainian media quoted Orban as saying on his social account on Tuesday.

Orban also pointed out that Hungary was admitted to the EU because this benefited its member states.
