Armenia's Central Bank keeps refinancing rate at 6.75%

YEREVAN. May 6 (Interfax) - The board of the Central Bank of Armenia (CBA) decided to keep the refinancing rate unchanged at 6.75%, the CBA said in a press release.

The rate has been at 6.75% since February 4, when it was cut by 25 basis points. The CBA lowered the rate eight times in 2024.

Inflation in Armenia was 0.3% in 2024, well below the target of 4% plus or minus 1.5 percentage points, data from the country's statistics agency showed. Annual inflation reached 3.3% in March 2025.

The state budget for 2025 assumes an average inflation rate of 3.5%.
