Russia's Micran liquidates Italian subsidiary
TOMSK. May 5 (Interfax) - Tomsk-based JSC Micran research and production company has liquidated its Italy-based Youncta S.r.l. R&D subsidiary that had been part of the group's structure since 2014, the electronics manufacturer said.
Youncta S.r.l., which conducted "technical implementation activities in the field of high tech", was liquidated in November 2024, according to Micran's report for last year.
Micran supplied products to European markets via the Italian subsidiary.
Materials indicate that the company is currently primarily focused on development in the Russian market, as well as promoting products in the Middle East and the CIS.
Micran also indicated in its 2022 annual report that the Italian subsidiary's operations were suspended in 2022 owing to "the special military operation and the imposed sanctions."
Interfax has sent a request to Micran regarding the company's possible plans to return to European markets.
Established in 1991, Micran primarily focuses on manufacturing telecommunications equipment, control and measurement equipment, and accessories in the SHF area, UHF electronics and modules, radar for navigation and security, mobile communication systems, and integrated solutions in the field of communications and automation. Micran became part of X Holding this past spring.
