Kiev plans to sign contract with winner of Chernomorsk port concession tender in Q4 2025

MOSCOW. April 28 (Interfax) - A tender for companies seeking a Chernomorsk Container Terminal concession will be held in the second quarter of 2025, and a contract with the winner is expected to be signed in the fourth quarter of the year, Ukrainian media said, citing the press service of the Ministry of Communities and Territories Development.

These plans were presented at an investment conference, which took place in Warsaw on April 24 and addressed the implementation of a concession project in the Chernomorsk port, Odessa region, the press service said in a statement.

"This is a long-term concession for 40 years, covering two terminals: container and all-purpose terminals with a potential of up to 760,000 TEU and over 5 million tonnes of cargo per year," it said.

A concession project for the Chernomorsk port's terminals has been worked out with the help of the International Finance Corporation and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. It has ready-to-use tender documents outlining the terms for participation, risks and guarantees of support from the state, it said.
