Meeting between Putin, Witkoff lasts 3 hours, is constructive, useful - Kremlin aide Ushakov

MOSCOW. April 25 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin's three-hour conversation with the U.S. president's special envoy Steve Witkoff was constructive, helping Washington and Moscow further narrow their gap on Ukraine and other international issues, Russian presidential aide Yury Ushakov told journalists on Friday.

"The conversation lasted three hours and was constructive and quite useful. The conversation enabled Russia and the U.S. to additionally bring their positions closer not only on Ukraine but also a number of other international issues," Ushakov said.

"As part of U.S. President Donald Trump's efforts to settle the situation in Ukraine, his special envoy Steve Witkoff visited Moscow on April 25," Ushakov said.

"This is already his fourth visit to our country. Steve Witkoff was hosted at the Kremlin by Russian President Vladimir Putin," Ushakov said.
