ISS orbit lifted by 2.1 km - Russia's Roscosmos

MOSCOW. April 24 (Interfax) - The Progress MS-30 resupply ship has adjusted the International Space Station (ISS) orbit, Roscosmos said on Thursday.

"Engines of the Progress MS-30 resupply ship latched on to the International Space Station were started at 3:08 a.m. today and ran for 639.7 seconds, giving an impetus of 1.22 meters per second," Roscosmos said.

The operation lifted the average altitude of the station orbit by 2.1 kilometers to 419 kilometers.

Seven crewmembers - Roscosmos cosmonauts Sergei Ryzhikov, Alexei Zubritsky and Kirill Peskov, NASA astronauts Anne McClain, Nichole Ayers and Jonathan Kim, and Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) astronaut Takuya Onishi - are operating the ISS at present.
