Anton Karmazin steps down as deputy head of Russian food safety watchdog
MOSCOW. April 24 (Interfax) - Anton Karmazin has been dismissed from the position of deputy head of Russian plant and animal health watchdog Rosselkhoznadzor at his own request, a government order signed on April 21 and posted on the official website for legal information showed.
Karmazin held this position since 2020 and was in charge of issues related to farmland oversight, plant quarantine (with the exception of national border checkpoints), pesticide and agricultural chemical safety, viticulture and winemaking as regards matters within Rosselkhoznadzor's jurisdiction, among others.
