KazTransOil transports 2.4 mln tonnes of Kazakh oil, 2.5 mln tonnes of Russian oil to China in Q1
ALMATY. April 23 (Interfax) - KazTransOil (KTO) transported 2.367 million tonnes of Kazakh oil and 2.48 million tonnes of Russian oil in Q1 2025 through the pipeline system operated by Kazakhstan-China Pipeline LLP, KTO's press service told Interfax.
"The total volume of oil transported via the Kazakhstan-China Pipeline system in Q1 2025 amounted to 4.847 [up 1.7%] million tonnes, including: transit of Russian oil - 2.48 million tonnes; domestic supply of Kazakh oil within Kazakhstan - 2.129 million tonnes; and export of Kazakh oil - 238,000 tonnes," the company said.
The supply of Kazakh oil to China is managed by the Kazakh-Chinese joint venture Kazakhstan-China Pipeline LLP, owned by KazTransOil (50%) and China National Oil and Gas Exploration and Development Corporation (CNODC) (50%). The company transports oil via the Kenkiyak-Kumkol and Atasu-Alashankou trunk pipelines from fields in western Kazakhstan to China. This route also facilitates the transit of Russian oil to China.
KazTransOil, part of the KazMunayGas group, owns 5,400 km of trunk oil pipelines
