Tajikistan's annual inflation slows to 3.4% in March - EDB

DUSHANBE. April 21 (Interfax) - Tajikistan's consumer price growth slowed to 3.4% year-on-year in March 2025 from 3.7% in February, the Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) said in a report.

EDB analysts forecast that Tajikistan's inflation should be restrained until the end of 2025 owing to the national currency's stability and the absence of inflationary pressure from imports.

"We expect that solid domestic demand should result in higher inflation by the end of 2025, though the figure will likely remain within the National Bank's target range of 5% at plus or minus 2%," the EDB projects.

As reported, Tajikistan's inflation decelerated to 3.6% in 2024 from 3.8% in 2023.
