Microelectronics program to be developed in Union State
MINSK. April 18 (Interfax) - The administration of the Belarusian National Academy of Sciences has come up with an initiative to implement of a Belarusian-Russian microelectronics program, which has been supported by Sergei Glazyev, state secretary of the Union State, the press service for the National Academy of Sciences said on Friday.
The issue was raised during a visit to the National Academy of Sciences by a delegation of the Permanent Committee of the Union State led by Glazyev, it said.
"The talks addressed new tracks of cooperation between scientific organizations of the Belarusian National Academy of Sciences and the Permanent Committee of the Union State and the formation of new union programs. Specifically, Vladimir Gusakov [presidium chairman of the Belarusian National Academy of Sciences] suggested forming a new union program for microelectronics. Sergei Glazyev supported the initiative," the press service said.
